I became a massage therapist because I wanted my work to make a significant difference in the life of every person I encountered. My previous career in the corporate world did not often allow me such opportunities. I love the more relaxed pace of massage therapy, and I love to see my clients arrive happy and leave even happier. I am so grateful to be able to use my talents and abilities to bring greater health and well-being to my clients.
There are many different types of massage and bodywork, but I chose to specialize in therapeutic massage. I am a problem-solver by nature, so I enjoy the challenge of assessing each client and working with them to find the sources of any pain or discomfort. The best results are obtained by forming a trust bond between client and therapist, and by working together to resolve issues. It is very rewarding for me to notice that, even after only one session of therapeutic massage, the client and I can see and feel significant improvements.
In December 2009, I graduated from Spa Tech Institute in Plymouth, Massachusetts with a certificate in Therapeutic Massage. I am an active professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. When I am not working, I am studying to become an osteopathic physician. Currently, I am a biology major at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
